Twin Air Dirt Bike Foam Air Filters
Over 40 years ago, the sandy, gritty soil of The Netherlands – and the resulting engine failures – proved that single-foam and paper filters gave riders airflow, but failed at protection. Twin Air’s breakthrough, fused-dual-layer design (now widely copied) combined performance and protection. The fused layers of open-pore foam and fine inner foam trap even the smallest particles. The new, rounder design boosts airflow. So do the minimized seams made possible by a revolutionary micro-gluing process: Shorter seams = more foam = more flow.
Fused outer and inner elements prevent dirt and grime from being lodged between layers. Unlike Twin Air, this can be a problem with two-piece designs. Trapped particles can restrict airflow and if dirt works its way into your engine, a pinhead-sized granule will gouge your cylinder, piston, and rings. Thick, flat foam, greaseless sealing ring ensures maximum contact with your airbox while acting as a breathable gasket for increased air passage
- Coarse open-pore foam catches airborne dirt, grime, and sand
- The fine open-pore inner foam acts as a second filter to trap the smallest particles while ensuring maximum air passage
- Exclusively formulated adhesive withstands repeated cleaning. Even with harsh solvents or gasoline
- Twin Air filters are slightly smaller than stock filters to increase air space around the filter and improve circulation
