Now
available an alternative to the OEM impeller housings that are known to
warp and dimple. The original Yamaha impeller housing is constructed of
cast aluminum with a thin stainless steel wear ring liner that is
pressed into place. Corrosion quickly develops between the dissimilar
metals swelling the thin liner until it closes down and jams against
your impeller. These replacement impeller housings offer a replaceable
plastic wear ring similar to those found on the Sea Doo watercraft. If
the liner becomes damaged you simply remove the old liner and replace it
with a new one at a fraction of the cost of a new housing.
