| Prior to any work on PWC - remove
seat to ventilate fumes and disconnect the battery. *NOTE: Do not use air, cordless
or electric tools hand tighten only with #3 hand screwdriver. (Do not over tighten bolt to
hull mounting, be careful not to squish into plastic, it will blow out when you ride if
you squish to far.)
- Remove original sponsons and clean area of any residue.
- Silicone around the back of the back plate (the side with the Tee nuts on it) and use
the 6mm x 30mm metric bolt (also the thinner of the two sizes) and washer to bolt them on
using locktite on the threads.
- Bolt the sponson onto back plate with the remaining 1/4" x 1" bolts using a thread-locker
on the threads. (Shaved side towards back plate). Try them in all the positions to see
what matches your riding style.
- Be sure to check bolts regularly to make sure they are always tight. (If you turn
the screw your threadlocker is broken, use it again).
- Your done go have fun. Be sure to take time getting use to them so you don't get hurt,
they will turn fast.
Different positions
Racers should always check their rules to make sure of any new rule changes or
different rules in your area.
Sponson in upper hole (lowest position) Race legal -Very aggressive on turning
must lean in and hold on and brace yourself it will turn sharp.
Sponson lower hole also Race legal - Recreational riders and racers. It is a
lean in position.
Front and back holes depend on style of riding and weight. Face plate toward the
front is usually quicker turning and toward the rear is smoother.
No outside sponson (just back plate) - For your spin out fun.
*WARNING*
These sponsons can be very, very aggressive. Be very careful, take time getting use to
them. On high speed turns they can throw you off extremely hard if your not ready to turn,
