Introducing
the TBM lightweight flywheel for the SX-R 800. TBM flywheel is
compatible with the stock ignition in '04 - '06 models and any
aftermarket ignition system. Note: 2003 SX-R's require the use of an
aftermarket ignition. The flywheel operates as a total loss system (does
not recharge the battery), although with an Advent T3 ignition and a
fresh battery you can ride for several days without the need to charge
the battery. This is the lightest flywheel on the market saving over 3
pounds vs. the stock flywheel. Ideal for racing, freestyle and freeride
our flywheel will give you amazing acceleration without jeopardizing
reliability. Available with or without an Advent T3 ignition. Please
specify the year of your SX-R when purchasing the ignition.
Introducing
our long awaited Yamaha 701 Lightweight Charging Flywheel. As soon as we
released our SX-R Total Loss Flywheel we began getting calls asking us
when we would make Yamaha charging flywheels. After over a year of
testing we finally released the lightest most durable charging flywheel
on the market. As with our total loss flywheel we are using the highest
grade aircraft aluminum available and an engineered design that will
withstand the most powerful engines and abusive riding. Weighing in at
2.0 pounds this is by far the lightest Yamaha charging flywheel on the
market. One comment from a satisfied customer was "This is the biggest
performance gain since installing a pipe." That pretty much says it all.
A
charging Flywheel is a billet aluminum replacement for the stock steel
flywheel. Since the stock versions are generally very heavy, they
require a large amount of horsepower to overcome their weight and this
substantially reduces the engine’s ability to respond to throttle
movements. The patented Jetinetics Charging Flywheel is significantly
lighter, 50% in some cases, which greatly reduces the energy used to
overcome flywheel mass and allow the engine to increase rpm’s rapidly. A
significant benefit is the fact that the engine will produce horsepower
only after it has reached it’s powerband which usually begins around
3800 rpm. By using a Jetinetics Charging Flywheel, the engine is able to
reach it’s powerband much more quickly and create usable power much
sooner. Further, during rapid cornering such as course racing or slalom
runs, this becomes a significant factor for acceleration.
